Travelling to Newcastle upon Tyne

By Plane

Newcastle International Airport is located 20min (by taxi or Metro) from the city centre. Many major European hubs have direct flights to Newcastle (e.g. London, Paris, Amsterdam, Dusseldorf). In addition, low cost carriers such as Easyjet, and Flybe connect Newcastle airport to national and European destinations.

By Train

Newcastle Central Station is on the London Kings Cross to Edinburgh east coast mainline. The station is a 20min walk or a short Metro ride from the University campus. Train timetables and tickets are available from National Rail Enquiries and the specific train companies (see journer planner).

By Car

Directions to Newcastle upon Tyne can be obtained using The AA route planner. Please note there is no parking available on campus so please use the nearby public car parks. Campus Map and Regional/City Maps

University Campus

The Hershel Building is conveniently located opposite Haymarket Metro station and bus terminal. There is no parking available on campus so please use the nearby public car parks.Campus Map and Regional/City Maps

Public Transport
